The Pupil Premium was introduced in April 2011. The funding is provided in addition to any other funding from the Local Authority and is intended to help disadvantaged pupils to ‘close the gap’ and to raise attainment and improve progress.
Children who are eligible include:
• Pupils who have been registered for Free School Meals (FSM) at any point in the last six years
• Children who have been “looked after” continuously for more than six months
• Children of armed services personnel.
We have three pupils for whom we currently receive the Pupil Premium.
These funds are used to supplement the assistive communication technology used to improve functional and social communication and provide a range of sensory resources to meet sensory needs and facilitate learning.
In 2016/17 the funding received was £2,062.50.
In 2017/18 the funding received was £4,125.00. Information about the use of these funds will be available at the beginning of the next academic year.
