Ardingly Charity Fair 15th October

The fair at Ardingly on October 15th raised an amazing amount of £9, 377 for Step By Step.  There were some amazing stalls and it was lovely that some of the pupils attended and could be involved.  Huge thanks to everyone that attended and helped us raise some funds.

Famous Five Take on the Zambezi River in aid of Step By Step

Five adventurers from the Sunshine Seven’s at East Grinstead Rugby Club are preparing  to paddle their way up the Zambezi River in October 2019, where they will raft some of the most tempestuous rapids in the world.  The men have set themselves this personal challenge as they hit the big 50!  We are extremely honoured they have choosen to donate any funds raised to Step By Step and we are looking forward to hearing about all their adventures.  Good Luck guys!

East Sussex Fundraising Committee

We are extremely privileged that East Sussex Fund-Raising Committee have adopted us as their charity for the next 3 years.  A lunch was held on Wednesday 8th May at the wonderful Hendall Barns, where a delicious lunch was served and a raffle held to raise money for the school.  Our extreme gratitude to all those who gave their time and effort on the day.  It was lovely to meet so many people and tell them about the school and our work.   We are looking forward to the next event of the Christmas Fayre in Ardingly in October.

East Grinstead Rugby Football Club Sunshine Sevens

Thank you so much to the East Grinstead Rugby Club Sunshine Sevens who made an amazing donation of £7,000 to the school, following their annual lunch.  Sam Matthews received the cheque on behalf of the school from Garry Gordon.  The school have allocated some of the money for ICT equipment, so we are able to capture pupil progress more easily and share this with families.

Jacinta and Tony Pile

A huge thank you to Tony and Jacinta Pile who donated £1,000 to the school in December 2018.  We sadly said goodbye to their son, Charlie, who had attended the school for 12 years and made amazing progress.  The money will be used to purchase some equipment for our new pupil-run tuck shop, so pupils can practise their work skills.  This is Charlie joining in with Children in Need in November. We wish Charlie all the best in Ireland – he will be missed.
