Gayle, Faye and Clare were able to attend the NASS special schools conference in Brighton on the 10th and 11th October. There were some very useful presentations and workshops, including ones from OFSTED, a research project from Vancouver in Canada, Transitions into adulthood, safeguarding but my personal favourite was a presentation given by a 15 year old girl on the autistic spectrum, who was able to give her perspective on her world and experiences at school. It was very heart-warming.
We were able to network with other schools and share our ideas and our current priorities. A good couple of days all round.
