Step by Step is registered as an independent special school for autistic children between the ages of four and sixteen. The school serves a wide area of Local Education Authorites in the South East including East and West Sussex, Brighton & Hove, Kent, Surrey, Kingston and Sutton. 

Established by a group of parents in September 2003, Step by Step was founded on the principal that intensive and early intervention is the key to helping autistic children access the knowledge, skills and confidence that will enable them to achieve their maximum potential. We offer a broad and balanced  curriculum modified to the needs of the individual child.

The purpose built school with its specially designed play area is located in the midst of beautiful Sussex countryside, about five miles from East Grinstead.
